One Week. 106 Tables. 1025 Voices.
During the week of October 15-19 2018, Around the Table South launched for the first time in the Pittsburgh region to inspire Conversations that Build Community. Around the Table South invited residents of the Jefferson Region communities in the South Hills and Mon Valley to gather over mealtime conversations to build connections and explore how we can work together to make our communities stronger.
Results from These Community Conversations
The Around the Table South Report includes data from 746 community surveys collected at these gatherings. The Report contains information on who participated, what people talked about, and how people are taking action to make our communities healthier, safer, and more dynamic. All reference data was compiled, coded, and analyzed by the University Center for Social and Urban Research (UCSUR) at the University of Pittsburgh.
Ideas from the Table Mini-Grant Opportunities
To continue the energy and momentum of the Around the Table South initiative, the Jefferson Regional Foundation offered Ideas from the Table mini-grant opportunities for mini-grant opportunities for small projects ranging from $500-$3,000 that resulted from local table conversations. Stay tuned for stories from our Mini-Grant Recipients!
