Results from 100+ Community Conversations
In its inaugural year, Around the Table South drew a large and diverse group of Guests from communities throughout the South Hills and Mon Valley in Pittsburgh with local organizations serving as conversation Hosts. Conversations took place at local libraries, churches, schools, restaurants, businesses, workplaces, and homes. Over the course of one week, Around the Table South gathered 1,025 Jefferson residents in 106 mealtime conversations to discuss and share meaningful ideas for the Jefferson community.
The Around the Table South Report includes data from 746 community surveys collected at these gatherings. The Report contains information on who participated, what people talked about, and how people are taking action to make our communities healthier, safer, and more dynamic. All reference data was compiled, coded, and analyzed by the University Center for Social and Urban Research (UCSUR) at the University of Pittsburgh.
Thank you for to all participants in the Around the Table South initiative.
